A group of 21 middle schoolers enrolled in an afterschool program visited the inner sanctum of City Hall Tuesday, sitting down with Mayor de Blasio and First Lady Chirlane McCray in the bullpen where senior staffers work.
The mayor has been meeting with students almost weekly while waging a political battle in Albany for a tax hike to pay for universal pre-K and afterschool programs for middle school students.
