Staten Island Advance: Town Hall Meeting Makes the Case for After School Programs

Anticipating the annual city budget dance that includes proposed cuts to after-school and child care programs, parents with children in tow flocked to a town hall meeting Thursday night sponsored by the Campaign for Children.

They were unanimous in their defense of the Beacon, a school-based community center at PS 18 in West Brighton, where the meeting was held.
